In the heartland of America, martyrs go unnoticed. With arms,
with a bottle of pills or just a book and the promise of an
answer; Even the voice of God can be silenced. Sometimes
Eese mirrors the other children, a childhood lost to her. Eese
makes no sound in a world shouting. From the hollow hush in
the aftermath of violence; Comes a voice. The voice of God,
Proposing purpose to a child’s lonely heart; A little girl to rid the
earth of sin, one small girl, Her. In a world full of false prophets,
how can we ever tell the real one? Bittersweet, the fight of the
martyr, who’s cause is never her own, Who’s visions cannot foretell her own ending…or quiet digestion into the world of myth.
